Abstract

The mielodepression at therapy for solid malignancies is considered as a mediating element of common antineoplastic activity on the basis of ability of stem cells of hemapoietic system to participate in regeneration of the various tissues of the body, including tumor. The equivalence of the therapeutic benefit mediated by both mild mielodepression due to total/subtotal radiation exposure and conventional chemotherapy with cytotoxic drugs is argued.
