Abstract
A scientist’s anniversary is a special occasion for the professional community not only to mark a significant date but also to look back at the scientific path that has been traversed, to assess the researcher’s contribution to the development of the discipline, and to revisit the ideas that continue to shape the scientific agenda. The anniversary of Academician Shamil Khanyafievich Gantsev naturally coincides with the stage of mature reflection on the scientific concept inextricably linked with his name — the idea of “cancer without a tumor.”
