Abstract
PC-SPES, представляющий собой смесь экстрактов 8 лечебных растений, используемых в традиционной китайской медицине, производится и распространяется как биологически активная (пищевая) добавка с рекомендацией применения при лечении рака предстательной железы (РПЖ). В экспериментах in vitro показана способность PC-SPES подавлять пролиферацию опухолевых клеток разных опухолей, в первую очередь РПЖ, в опытах in vivo — способность тормозить рост этой опухоли. Механизм противоопухолевого действия связывают как с эффектом фитоэстрогенов (не исключая контаминации диэтилстильбэстролом), так и с непосредственным цитостатическим эффектом, реализуемым по разным механизмам. Основным эффектом, наблюдаемым при клиническом применении, является снижение уровня пса в крови и улучшение качества жизни больных, как при гормоночувствительном, так и при гормонорефрактерном РПЖ. Клинические испытания были немногочисленными, как правило, нерандомизированными и неконтролируемыми. Мнения о практической значимости PC-SPES противоречивы.References
