Abstract

Эпидемиологические данные свидетельствуют о том, что заболеваемость и смертность от злокачественных новообразований повышена среди жителей высоких широт Земли. Этот градиент отмечен как в масштабах всей планеты, так и в масштабах Европейской части России. Среди населения, проживающего вблизи западной границы третьего часового пояса, отмечена более высокая частота выявления опухолей молочной железы, головного и спинного мозга и повышенная смертность от злокачественных новообразований молочной железы, тела матки, предстательной железы, головного и спинного мозга. Установлено, что сменная работа, трансмеридианные перелеты и бессонница увеличивают риск рака молочной железы, толстой кишки и предстательной железы, тогда как световая депривация оказывает противоположный эффект.
