Abstract
Inflammatory fibroid polyp (Vanëk's tumor) is a very rare neoplasm remaining diagnostically challenging for clinicians and pathologists. Here we discuss clinical and morphological aspects of this process at gastrointestinal tract, based on own observations and in comparison with literature. Touch on a topic of molecular pathogenesis and evolution of views on taxonomy of these lesions. Particular part spared on differential diagnosis with clinically-morphologically mimicking entities arising throughout the gastrointestinal tract.References
