Abstract

This article commemorates the 130th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Russian oncologist Alexander Ivanovich Serebrov. He was an Academician of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences, an Honored Scientist of the RSFSR, a professor, and a talented healthcare administrator. From 1942 to 1965, he served as Director of the Institute of Oncology and was the founder of the Leningrad School of Oncogynecology.
