Abstract
Colon cancer has long been considered an important and actual problem in oncology. Studies performed on animal models are significant for understanding molecular patterns of the disease development and developing new antitumor drugs. Such models are the most adequate tool for evaluating the cancer treatment strategy and a resource with enormous potential for studying tumorigenesis mechanisms. In this review, we analyzed the recent data on methods of modeling the process of development of malignant tumors in the human intestine on immuno-deficient animals and considered advantages and disadvantages of different model variants.References
